Every Class I dental hand-instrument we sell follows a single, third-party-audited chain from manufacturer to end-user. Each link is independently certificated; copies of every certificate are held on file and made available to bona-fide trade applicants under non-disclosure.

What's CE marked

The IBC Sweden EU REP mandate covers PIK PAK Industries' full range of Class I (Non-Sterile, Non-Active, Non-Measuring, Non-Invasive) dental hand instruments. Every product sold under Dental Bench falls within one of the categories listed below; each product page also shows the specific CE mark badge and Annex A category for that item.

UK post-Brexit position

Class I CE-marked medical devices remain legally placeable on the GB market until 30 June 2030 under the current UK MDR 2002 transitional arrangements (per MHRA guidance, last updated April 2024). Northern Ireland is covered by the EU CE mark directly under the Windsor Framework.

Toolsmith Ltd is tracking the MHRA UKCA timeline and will obtain UK Declarations of Conformity for our active product range well in advance of the 2030 cut-off. Until then, every device we sell carries a valid CE mark via the EU REP route described above, which is the recognised regulatory pathway for the GB market.

Returns, complaints & post-market surveillance

Returns

Sealed instruments accepted within 14 days for full refund. Opened instruments are not returnable for hygiene reasons, except where faulty or damaged on receipt — in that case we replace or refund within 30 days regardless of seal status. The hygiene exception is a consumer-rights line we hold firmly because reused unsterilised instruments are a clinical risk.

Direct to info@toolsmithltd.co.uk or +44 20 8059 4504. Acknowledged within 1 working day. Tracked in our complaints register; serious complaints are forwarded to the manufacturer and (where reportable) the MHRA.

Post-market surveillance

As the UK importer, Toolsmith Ltd participates in PIK PAK Industries' post-market surveillance system. Adverse-event reports, deviations, and quality complaints are routed to the manufacturer's quality management system via IBC Sweden under the EU REP mandate. Serious incidents trigger MHRA notification per UK MDR 2002 regulation 44.

Vigilance reporting (for clinicians)

Healthcare professionals can report a medical-device-related incident directly to the MHRA via the Yellow Card service at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk. Please also copy us at info@toolsmithltd.co.uk so we can investigate at our end.

Group brand & intellectual property

Dental Bench is a trading style of Toolsmith Ltd, which operates a small portfolio of UK trading brands serving the precision-instruments market. Buyers are entitled to know who they are buying from, what protects that name, and where to verify it independently.

Per section 95 of the Trade Marks Act 1994, only fully registered marks may carry the ® symbol. Until the IPO issues the registration certificate (expected early August 2026), the mark is correctly cited as TOOLSMITH LTD EMPOWER YOUR WORKBENCH™ — a common-law mark with pending registration. This page will be updated to ® when registration completes.

Why this matters

For trade-account buyers the trade-mark application is a small but meaningful signal: it shows the parent entity has a settled brand identity registered with a UK government body, alongside the medical-device compliance documentation referenced above. For retail buyers it places the storefront they are visiting inside an identifiable, accountable corporate structure rather than an anonymous dropshipper. Either way it sits alongside — not in place of — the ISO 13485, EU MDR, CE marking, REACH and ICO records on this page, which are what actually govern the products you receive.
