Khurram Yaseen
Founder & Director, Dental Bench
15+ years in the precision-instruments trade · Birmingham, United Kingdom
Khurram Yaseen founded Dental Bench as the dental-specialist arm of Toolsmith Ltd, the Birmingham group he leads, to put practice- and laboratory-grade instruments in front of UK dental professionals without the markup of the traditional supply chain.
Experience
Khurram has spent more than 15 years in the precision-instruments trade — the world of surgical, dental and fine-workshop tooling where the difference between a good instrument and a poor one is measured in microns. That background is why Dental Bench reads the way it does: every product description, specification and compliance note on this site is written from hands-on familiarity with the instruments, not lifted from a supplier sheet.
Direct from the manufacturer
Most of the credibility behind Dental Bench comes from one decision: buying direct. Khurram maintains a personal relationship with the manufacturer, PIK PAK Industries — an ISO 13485:2016 certified medical-device facility in Sialkot, Pakistan. Rather than sourcing through intermediaries, he meets the production team in person, walks the factory floor, and selects ranges first-hand. The photograph below was taken at the PIK PAK stand at an international trade show.
On the international circuit
Dental Bench exhibits at the International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne — the world's largest and most important dental trade fair, held biennially in Germany and drawing manufacturers, laboratories and clinicians from across the globe. Being on the show floor as an exhibitor, rather than a visitor, is how Khurram keeps Dental Bench's range and standards aligned with the leading edge of the profession.
Across the wider Toolsmith group, Khurram also represents the business at Inhorgenta Munich (Germany) and T-Gold, Vicenza (Italy), the flagship European fairs for precision workshop and fine-instrument tooling. That ongoing presence is how the group stays ahead of changes in materials, finishes and instrument design rather than reacting to them.
Why this matters for what you buy
Every instrument Dental Bench sells passes through that sourcing discipline and the full compliance chain set out on our Compliance page: CE marked Class I under EU MDR 2017/745 via an EU Authorised Representative, manufactured under ISO 13485:2016, and REACH compliant. When Khurram writes or signs off on an article, it carries the weight of someone who has handled the instruments and knows the chain they came through.
