Buying instruments across a border used to mean a surprise invoice from the courier before they would hand over the parcel. We ship Delivered Duty Paid to most destinations precisely so that never happens: the total you see at checkout — product, shipping, your country’s taxes and duties — is the total, full stop.
1. What DDP changes
On a DDP order we collect your local import taxes and duties at checkout and pay them on your behalf; the parcel clears customs pre-paid and arrives like a domestic delivery. For the few destinations where prepaid duties are not supported, checkout says so and the order ships DAP with charges payable on delivery — you will know which applies before you pay, never after.
2. Prices adjust to where you are
Browse from outside the UK and prices are shown in your local currency with UK VAT stripped — a UK price of £10.99 inc-VAT becomes roughly £9.16 ex-VAT for a US buyer before local taxes are added at checkout. No mental arithmetic, no reclaiming.
3. Delivery windows
- EU, Switzerland, Norway — 3–5 working days.
- USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand — 5–8 working days.
- Rest of world — 7–14 working days, destination-dependent.
All orders placed before 14:00 UK time (Mon–Fri) dispatch same day from Birmingham with tracking; the detail lives on the shipping page.
4. Paperwork done properly
Class I dental instruments generally attract low or zero duty, and each parcel carries a commercial invoice with indicative HS codes (9018.49 for most dental instruments) to smooth clearance. 5. Returns across borders
The 30-day return window on unopened, sealed items applies internationally, and EU consumers additionally keep their statutory 14-day withdrawal right — the mechanics are on the returns page linked in the footer. Clinics ordering at volume from abroad should read the trade buying guide first; the thresholds work in any currency.
